A one-of-a-kind challenge

Dash Computer Solutions, a local software provider in the education field, is looking to hire students for full-time summer remote work. With the help of our custom software, our summer employees create the complex timetables that high schools use throughout the year. Comparable to working on a giant puzzle, the work is interesting and stimulating.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with our team to plan each project
  • Create the master schedule for our clients (high schools)
  • Use the Dash software to accomplish the work

Computer programming is not a component of this job. Both first and second-year students are welcome to apply and will be considered equally.

Job requirements

  • Bilingual
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Enjoy problem solving and strategy games
  • Average of 85% or more in math and science

This job gives you a chance to apply your math and logic skills to a practical challenge. Full-time work begins around the end of May, and continues through to mid-August. First year salary: 20 $/hr. Compensation increases every year for returning employees. If the public health situation permits, work will be done at the main office. If the situation requires remote work, Dash will provide the necessary tools.

Stimulating work in a collaborative environment

Dash Computer Solutions is a small software company that develops custom management software for schools. We also use our software to create master schedules used by high schools throughout Quebec. Comparable to working on a giant logic puzzle, the work is interesting and stimulating. As a growing company, Dash is looking to fill this full time position, available immediately.

Your responsibilities

  • Helping our clients use the software (by phone + email)
  • Creating school schedules for high schools (logic puzzle)
  • Assisting in training clients and interns to use our software
  • Testing and documenting bugs
  • Representing the company in meetings with school administrators

Our requirements

  • Comfortable with computers
  • Excellent analytic, logic, and math skills
  • Bilingual in French and English (very good spoken and written communication in one and conversational fluency in the other)
  • A degree or diploma in something you love

Additional Assets

  • Familiar with Quebec secondary school program requirements
  • Love of logic puzzles and strategy games
  • Customer service experience
  • Any level of experience in coding
